Angels, Miracles, and Heavenly Encounters [Book In Review]
Angels, Miracles, and Heavenly Encounters: Real-Life Stories of Supernatural Events is the most recent [Book In Review] I’ve completed for Bethany House publishing group. I read the book in 48 hours, which is indicative of how engulfed I was into the stories. Yes, I may have ignored my children for a few hours each day but it was just that fascinating.I definitely appreciated the author’s cover line when he says, Compiled by James Stuart Bell, because he didn’t take credit for any of these encounters and he realized he was compiling other people’s stories. The book is broken into lots of mini chapters with each chapter recounting someone’s personal encounter with God. I found each story to be wholly concentrated on God’s love, mercy, forgiveness and protection with the belief in Jesus Christ as the central theme. It was a very Biblically based book which gave the reader an ease about reading each story. Some of the stories were set in other countries and some occurred in the United States. It was drama, tears and heart stopping wonder all in one book. I would definitely recommend this to any reader who would like a shot of faith in the form of testimonies of God’s goodness. I finished the book at my community pool and walked home looking up at the sky for the first time in months, wondering what Heavenly Angels were looking down on me at that very moment.
