For Such a Time [Book In Review]

This is a must read! I thoroughly enjoyed this book- so much so that I am sending it to my Mom to read. Kate Breslin writes about the time period involving the Holocaust and Auschwitz. The main character, Hadassah follows the storyline of Queen Ester in the Bible. She gets placed into a position of authority for such a time as this to save her fellow Jews. With each chapter the reader gets a parallel synopsis of the well known story in the Bible. The author does a wonderful job of conveying what Queen Ester must have been thinking and feeling through the character of Hadassah. This book is a page turner and will keep you in suspense until the very end. Please note, the book is fiction and does not accurately portray the real life events of 1944.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my objective review.

  • Perhaps God has placed her there for such a time as this, but how can she save her people when she is unable to save herself?

I'd love to hear from you
