Mineral Essence tastes like…

Why are Minerals important for the body?

According to two-time Nobel Peace Prize winner, Linus Pauling, PhD, “You can trace every sickness, disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency.”

WOW. Minerals are necessary for the body to preform basic metabolic functions. What are metabolic functions? The set of life-sustaining chemical transformations within the cells of our body. These enzyme-catalyzed reactions allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments. Sounds important.

Without minerals, the vitamins that we get through food cannot be absorbed. Mineral Essence contains 60 trace minerals.

The essential oils that have been added to the mixture help our body absorb the minerals: lemon, peppermint and cinnamon.

A group of volunteers consumed trace minerals without essential oils and the result was diarrhea within 24 hours.

The same group, allowed a period of cleansing for several days, and then consumed Mineral Essence with essential oils added and there was no occurrence of diarrhea.

IMG_0461Just one more reason why Young Living’s supplements are superior. So, as always, I will give an honest review. Mineral Essence tastes like salt water plus cinnamon. It’s evident that they tried to mask the flavor by adding cinnamon, but it’s still just gross. I had been experimenting different ways to get it down the hatch and I’ve officially found my favorite method.

I add one dropper-full to a shot of Madagascar Vanilla kefir. The vanilla flavor masks the salt water taste, and the cinnamon is a good compliment for the vanilla kefir. I can actually say I ENJOY taking Mineral Essence this way.  Try adding it to your next order!
