Over the Edge [Book In Review]
Over the Edge is the third book in a series called the Kincaid Brides by Mary Connealy. I must admit that once I realized this book was the third in line, my heart sank because I assumed I would not understand the sub plots because I had not read the prior two books. That was not the case at all. In fact, I think it adds to the suspense and mystery within some of the character’s stories when the reader starts without prior information.
There are three Kincaid men, and this book’s main character is Seth. His older two brothers were the heroes in the first two books. Seth has fought in a war and married a girl. The only problem is that he can’t remember any of it. His wife would like to kill him, but Seth fights to win her heart back. Every chapter has some sort of life threatening circumstance going on which leaves the reader ON THE EDGE of their seats.
The romance is tied throughout the entire book, but it is not overly stated or inappropriate at all. I enjoyed the easy reading of this book and would consider finding the first two books in the series to explore the other characters lives a bit. If Mary Connealy writes a fourth book, I would recommend it to a friend.
I was given a free copy of this book from the Bethany House Publishing Group for my honest review.
