The Best of 2012
As the year comes to an end, I usually start to reflect on the highs and the lows. From my family to yours, thank you for coming back to read about our life and thank you for your love and support.
Favorite Discovery of 2012:
Ok, well it’s really just essential oil, nothing new there but I discovered a new use for it. When dropped into the toilet prior to (ahem, you know) going, the smell is masked and eradicated from the restroom. The drops are small enough to fit inside a purse and can be used in any toilet. We ended up giving these to most of the recipients on our gift list this year and I’ve had some good reviews.
Favorite Books of 2012
This book started my year off with a bang! If you feel stuck in a rut, spiritually speaking, read this book. It sheds a whole new light on fasting. It’s hilarious, like reading your best girlfriend’s journal, vulnerable and Jesus centered. Try to fast these 7 areas for one day, one week, or one month as the author did and you will see change.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s a collection of short stories told by regular people who have encountered Angels or had extreme miracles happen in their lives. Reading this book reminded me of those times when you are gathered around a table with a close group of friends who begin to give testimonies of what the LORD has done for them. All around encouraging for the heart.

I assessed Ashden on his sight words today and he did really well! Yay, Ashden! And yay YOU, because I know you’ve been working with him! He’ll be ready for the next list in no time! Mrs. Fisher

I tried yoga for the first time this year, and I LOVED it! I have neck pain, tension in my shoulders and tail bone joint pain. All of my ailments felt a lot better after my weekly yoga session. It is a must for introverts too. I spent much needed alone time relaxing, breathing and communing with God.
Favorite Verses for 2012
My word for the year that I felt the LORD lay on my heart for this past year was restore. He has been faithful to restore many things to me and my family and for that I am grateful. He does not disappoint and I cannot wait to settle into the new year with a new word from Him.
But you, O Lord, are always my shield from danger; you give me victory and restore my courage. Psalm 3:3
“I am the high and holy God, who lives forever. I live in a high and holy place, but I also live with people who are humble and repentant, so that I can restore their confidence and hope.” Isaiah 57:15
